Marian Rose is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and believes that the words you speak are the company you keep. She is a thrift store connoisseur, amateur carpenter, and tea lover. With an eternal crush on college, she aspires to dedicate her career to higher education counseling.
Hoping to be the next Anthony Bourdain, Aysia is a senior studying anthropology, journalism and sustainability at The George Washington University. Hannah is a senior at St. Lawrence University pursuing a Government major with a minor in Global Studies. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with friends, travelling, talking politics, and devouring all types of (vegetarian) cuisine. After graduation, she hopes to move to Washington, D.C. and pursue a career in public policy.
Alex is completing his degree in Communication from Saint Mary’s College of California in the Bay Area. When not at one of his numerous on-campus jobs or academic responsibilities, Alex can frequently be found putting a pen to paper or fingers to a keyboard somewhere. An accomplished public speaker, Alex has spoken at a TEDx conference and has had some of his Stand-up Comedy featured on “Good Morning America” in early 2012. Alex Borden is currently a senior at The George Washington University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Creative Writing. Alex’s interests include astrology, Instagramming her food, bad dancing, and making people laugh.
Liz is a world traveler, excessive giggler and little sister who wants to change the world through words. As a 20-something trying to navigate post-grad life, she stays balanced by meditating, and has recently begun her own clumsy version of yoga. She is equal parts obsessed with classic rock, elephants and the moon, and she wants to share her journey through youth in hopes it will entertain, inform or inspire you.
Whitney is currently finishing up her senior year at the University of Washington pursuing her business marketing degree in the Foster School of Business. You can often find Whitney madly typing away on her computer either working on scripting epic tweets for her social media marketing internship or drafting a marketing plan for the start up she co-founded, Minyawns. Victoria Friend is currently a student at the Overlake School in Redmond, Washington. As an aspiring author, she can almost always be found with her nose in a journal, or in a book.
Amora is a 19 year old (almost 20) college student majoring in communications in New York. Amora has been writing for as long as she can remember. She hopes to work in the fashion industry after graduation, in the magazine business, or in public relations. Other than that, she tends to figure things out as she goes along.
Natasha is a recent graduate from the University of British Columbia with a degree in the mysterious and delightful field of anthropology. She is currently completely a publishing certificate at Capilano University. She is an aspiring freelance writer and illustrator. She can often be found reading, hiking, or trail-running. Among (many) other things, Natasha hopes to one day thru-hike the Pacific Crest Trail, swim with manatees, write and illustrate a children’s book, and maybe eventually learn how to do taxes properly.
Aspiring photographer and writer, Alvina is working on her dual degree in Photography and Literary Studies in New York City’s the New School University. When she’s not writing for Carpe Juvenis, she’s working on writing and photo projects about ethnicity and gender. Helen is a senior at the George Washington University studying Anthropology and International Affairs with a Global Health concentration. Her passions include traveling, reality television, public health, the Philadelphia Eagles, and designer shoes. She hopes to pursue a career in ethnographic, health-related research.

Connor Frost sings, plays guitar, and manages the band Dizzy Bats from New York City. In late 2014 he started up his booking collective, “Fu’s Who”. Connor is originally from Westchester County, NY and currently resides in Jersey City, NJ.
Melissa is currently completing her senior year at the George Washington University, majoring in Journalism and Mass Communications. She is a Scorpio and an aspiring magazine editor with a love of fashion, news, reality television, and yoga.
